LIBRARY DIRECTOR - New London Public Library (OH) seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of Library Director. The New London Public Library, housed in a 1915 Carnegie building in a picturesque Western Reserve village green, services a school district comprised of 6,500 residents in Huron, Lorain, and Ashland counties, has an annual budget of $400,000, and hosts a highly motivated staff of 12 part-time employees, a full-time children's librarian, and an experienced fiscal officer.
The Library Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the library and exercising authority with regard to personnel, financial management, planning, library automation, expanding information technologies, purchasing, and community relations.
Candidates must possess an MLS from an accredited institution. Applicants with administrative experience in a public library setting are preferred. Successful candidates will possess the ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills, interpersonal skills, and a willingness to be active in our community. Experience with the SEO Library SirsiDynx Consortium is also preferred.
