NORWELD provides quality continuing education opportunities throughout the year, offering a variety of topics for all staff levels. These opportunities include in-person workshops, special events, networking opportunities, and more. View our calendar for specific event and registration information.
Staff Training and Development
NORWELD offers full members a variety of customizable, on-site staff training sessions that vary in length according to your needs. Training is also available at the NORWELD office, if applicable. This is a complimentary service for all full-member NORWELD libraries, up to eight hours annually.
What does this entail? That's up to you! NORWELD can work with you to develop and implement events based on your needs, whether it's staff development, focus group facilitation, or other areas where your imagination takes you! Training can be structured to fit your specific requirements.
Let us help you plan your next staff development day. NORWELD staff will assist with identifying and coordinating speakers and experts to meet your unique requests. We will also customize training to facilitate a quality educational experience for you and your team at a reasonable cost.

Tailored Training and Development Fee(s)
- Full NORWELD members receive up to eight hour annually; thereafter, training is invoiced at $50/hour (this includes both training and travel time). In the event that training is held at the NORWELD office, no mileage fee or travel time is incurred.
- Nonmembers are billed at $150/hour, with mileage reimbursement.
Important Note: Outside facilitators are not included in this benefit as NORWELD does not control the rates of their reimbursement for services.
